Information we collect

Account and profile information. When you sign in or create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. Your profile may also include contact details (such as a mailing address) synced from Planning Center, the church management system we use to care for our congregation.

Giving history. The app displays your giving history and totals so you can review your generosity. Card and bank details are entered on our secure web giving page and are handled by our payment processor — the app itself never sees or stores your payment card or bank account numbers.

Bible reading and journal content. Your reading progress, streaks, highlights, and journal notes are stored with your account so they sync across sessions.

Messages and prayer requests. Messages you send in group chats, prayer requests, and stories you share are stored with your account and visible to their intended recipients (your group, or church staff for prayer requests and stories).

Location (optional). With your permission, the app uses your device's location to recognize when you arrive at a One Hope campus so it can show helpful service-day features. Location is checked on your device; we do not build a history of where you go. You can decline or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings and the app works fully without it.

Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can send them. You control which notifications you receive in the app's Settings, and you can turn them off entirely at any time.

Using the app without an account. You can use much of the app as a guest. Your reading progress and journal are stored under an anonymous account so they're waiting for you if you add a login later; they aren't connected to your name or contact information until you do.

Usage information. We collect basic information about how the app is used — like which screens are visited — using our own systems, so we can improve the app. This never leaves our own infrastructure and is not shared with any third party.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your information, ever.
• We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers in the app.
• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

How we use your information

We use your information only to operate the app and care for you as part of our church community: signing you in, showing your giving and reading history, delivering messages and notifications you've asked for, connecting you with groups and next steps, and keeping our records in Planning Center accurate.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the app, and only as needed:

• Supabase — secure database and authentication hosting.
• Planning Center — our church management system, where member records live.
• Our giving payment processor — processes donations you initiate.
• Apple — delivers push notifications you've opted into.
• YouTube — streams sermon videos you choose to watch; like any website video, YouTube receives standard connection information when a video plays.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have an account with us. Prayer requests, messages, and journal content remain until you delete them or your account is deleted.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from within the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing us at info@onehopechurch.com. Deleting your account removes your app data; records we're required to keep for legal or financial reasons (such as donation records for tax purposes) are retained as required by law.

Children

The One Hope app is intended for adults and teens; it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and sign-in credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information with industry-standard measures.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
